Crocheted Sea Creature
Gooseflesh, aka Helle Jorgensen is the artist behind the Rubbish Vortex a collection of pieces created entirely made of plastic bag yarn which will be on display this year at the Institute for Figuring in New York (it was they who also featured the crocheted coral reef). Helle has crocheted this amazing sea creature from plastic bag yarn. I love how she used the bags to great effect at the ends of the creature's "arms." On her Etsy shop, she has a cool collection of undersea-inspired "Softwear Adornments and Woolly Gems." She has a tutorial on her blog for creating your own plastic bag yarn.
